Let's Get Comfy With This Asics Gel Lyte

At CNK Daily, we like to keep a running checklist of shoes on our Wish List while also keep our gang informed. Personally, I have been trying to diversify my own list with more brands outside of my normal go-to sneakers. When we came across this Asics trio, I noted them down quickly.

GEL LYTE Originally released in 1987, this iconic model returns thirty years later. The addition of ‘Lyte’ to the model’s moniker was due to the fact that it weighed less than a pound. The ultra-light feel of the shoe was assisted by the solitary heel GEL unit, Nyla-sheen synthetic fabric, and DURASKIN reinforcement. An anti-torque stability system was applied with motion control in mind, while the tri-density midsole and blown rubber outsole with a gum rubber heel plug complete this mid to high mileage creation. Asics is a runner brand that is known for their quality alongside their comfort. Aside from being ultra lightweight, the Asics Gel Lyte silhouette also comes in a handful of colorways. Basically, there is something for everyone's taste. Constructed of a nylon upper with signature suede overlays, this sneaker sits on top of a black rubber outsole. I love how the colors give a great contrast to the shoe as a whole. These three drops come in "Evening Sand", "Pigeon Blue", and "Aloe".

My favorite out of the bunch is the "Evening Sand" tone, which is really a variation of pink. Bringing back these OG circa 1987 silhouettes is a thumbs up from me. What do you all think?
