Aleali May's Clothing Line, MAYDE, Debuts This Week— And We're Freaking Out

Style consultant. Fashion influencer. Model. Sneaker designer. None of our closets could ever contain the number of hats that LA-born creative Aleali May wears on the daily. Her multi-faceted fashion career and enviable street stylings brought her to Jordan Brand’s front door, resulting in some of the most iconic and sought-after women’s sneaker designs. Now, May has taken to Instagram to tease her latest design pursuit: an apparel brand all her own. The brand, named MAYDE, debuts tomorrow with an all-over “Cobalt” co-ed athleisure collection.
According to May, this all-blue drop was inspired by Mother Nature and her Los Angeles roots.
“With Cobalt being the first to launch, I chose this color with reference to my environment,” May wrote in the caption of this Instagram sneak peek. “Whether it’s water being an essential for Earth and our body, or the culture I grew up in, being from LA, blue has always been a staple through my designs and the outfits I wear.”
The tonal “Cobalt” athleisure collection—the first to come out of the MAYDE brand—appears to include a cropped hoodie, unisex hoodie sweatshirt and sweatpant combo, a low-impact sports bra, a crop tank, and an elastic-waist biker short.

The first MAYDE collection, “Cobalt”, drops tomorrow, November 11 over on the MAYDE site. No pricing or sizing information has been made public just yet, so stay tuned for an update on release day.
