The Doernbecher Freestyle Program Takes Over Oregon Football
The Nike Air Max 90 silhouette is one of my favorite silhouettes. And what could be better than pairing one of your favorite sneakers with a great cause? I'm excited to share that the Doernbecher Freestyle Program will be droppin' a DOPE Air Max 90 very soon. If you aren't familiar with the Doernbecher Freestyle Program, let me break it down in cliff notes.
This is a special program where Nike designers team up with the Doernbecher Children's Hospital and give patients the opportunity to help design a shoe all their own. The shoes have significant meaning as the children add designs that share their personal experiences and inspire hope and courage.
This year, three brave creative designers, were ready to tackle a University of Oregon inspired theme right in time for football season. They used their own ideas and personalities to design a complete uniform system that tells a story, and also inspires the look of the Air Max sneaker. Using Oregon football colors, different prints and patterns, and inspiring personal slogans - I would say they got an awesome positive message across. We can't forget the Oregon mascot stompin' out cancer on the insole!
