About a week or two ago we all felt that our prayers had been answered by the basketball gods. It was finally announced that ESPN Films and Netflix will be releasing a 10-part documentary series, "The Last Dance" that discusses the career of Michael Jordan and the 1990s Chicago Bulls. If you happen to do a twitter search on this you will see the excitement from fans everywhere and it’s just beautiful to see. It will contain never-before-seen footage from their championship run from 1997-1998.
The jersey releasing on May 31st will come in three versions: Authentic away (as worn on the last shot) as well as Swingman versions of the Bulls’ home and away jerseys. Each jersey will be equipped with NikeConnect technology (read more in this exclusive Sneaker Diary) which will unlock access to select “The Last Dance” content prior to the series premiere in 2019. Now do we have your attention? The Authentic jersey will come in a soft touch box with a clear window and magnetic closure and will retail for $400 while the two Swingman jerseys will sell for $120.

Not only will you be getting an exclusive product that unlocks footage from the series you’ll also be able to support the nonprofit, Friends Of The Children, with your purchase of the jersey. This organization selects the most vulnerable children 4-6 in high-poverty schools and the foster care system and pairs them with a salaried, professional mentor who stays with them from kindergarten through graduation. Giving back is what it's all about. These are just stepping stones to solidifying the legacy that is the Jumpman himself.
