Adidas Unveils WMNS Basketball Sneaker
One of Adidas women’s basketball slogans is that “basketball is a sisterhood.” Though their roster boasts the likes of standout rookie Aliyah Boston and WNBA sisters Nneka and Chiney Ogwumike, Candace Parker continues to be its most recognizable face and is a certified legend.
Now in her 16th season in the league, the Las Vegas Aces star continues to make strategic moves to advance the women’s game as the latest addition to her Exhibit signature sneaker line with Adidas was made completely with women in mind.
The Exhibit Select, is an innovative basketball sneaker tailored specifically for women and set to arrive in stores this Summer. The innovative shoe was constructed on a women’s specific last and tested by everyday women and elite women athletes.
The shoe boasts a soft neoprene bootie upper that has been engineered with the female foot in mind, and features a visible window on the midpanel. Notably, the midsole incorporates a full-length Bounce cushioning system that sits close to the ground, ensuring precise movements and stability on the court.
"The Exhibit Select reflects our unwavering commitment to women in basketball and providing them with the best performance footwear possible, designed and tested by women, for women,” says Eric Wise, Global GM of adidas Basketball.
Parker will debut the Adidas Exhibit Select in a special “Game Royalty” colorway on July 15 during WNBA All-Star weekend. Adidas tapped LSU star Hailey Van Lith for its initial rollout advertising, and will continue to lace their roster with player exclusive colorways of the Exhibit Select throughout the WNBA season beginning this month, with other team colorways hitting retailers on August 1 at a price range of $110 to $140.
