Event Recap: Art n Sole Presents "Girls Love Street Art" Bike Tour

At CNK Daily, sneakers have created a platform of sisterhood. Between our Chick Chats, SneakHER Guides, and even SneakHer Closet series’ – we strive to bridge a gap between diverse groups of women through our passions. In doing so, we connect with so many amazing ladies while creating opportunities to serve each other in uplifting ways. For months, we have been pondering on how CNK could use our platform to reach women in our respective areas. We are also big proponents of speaking things into existence and by doing so, we got a chance to collaborate on a dope event with some fly ladies in H-town.

Merging a love for street art, sneakHers, and the outdoors – birthed the idea of Art & Sole. Teaming up with the ladies of Blank Canvas, Born CEO, 3rd Ward Tours, and DJ Shante, we set out on a bike tour through Downtown Houston. The tour was all about flexin’ your sneakHers with your girls, having mini photoshoots with colorful graffiti backdrops, and enjoying a beautiful Houston afternoon.

The beauty of Art & Sole wasn’t just centered around the street art, but also the diversity in sneakHer style. The ladies brought their A game, ready to #SweatWithCNK and roll out to tunes curated by DJ Shante along the way. Through laughter and good vibes, we were feeding our ‘soles’. At each mural, we stopped to strike a pose, take selfies, and talk sneakers. The brands were just as diverse as the ladies with Nike, adidas, and Jordans hitting the pavement.

While some of us (coughs ME) needed some extra time to get acclimated to riding a bike again, we had such a great time with everyone. When we envision what it means to build through ‘SneakHer Culture’, this is what it’s all about. Finding a common bond where women can uplift each other while having a good time is a win-win. Even though this was our first Houston event, we know it won’t be our last.
