Sneaker Diary: Brunch Style in the Cortez
Last weekend was my friend Brittany's birthday and, after some fun in the sun and an evening under the stars in downtown Dallas, we did what everyone 25 and up do to conclude their birthday weekends: we brunched. While the restaurant ending up being a bit disappointing, we decided to make the most of it and have a mini photo shoot thanks to my friend I'sha who happens to be a bomb photographer.
I didn't get many shots but, I definitely wanted to make sure and deliver a Sneaker Diary for this comfy fit that was perfect for a casual (but cute) brunch.
This polka dot jumpsuit Zaful by has been a favorite of mine since I ordered it a few months ago. Since it's pretty versatile, I can wear it for a casual outing (i.e. brunch with my girlfriends) or even to work with one of my favorite longsleeve bodysuits. This time I opted to pair it with a cropped black tee and the same jean jacket I wore in this Sneaker Diary a few weeks ago. I love getting good use out of the things I spend my money on so, I tend to buy certain pieces that will really last in my wardrobe. Unfortunetly, my exact jumpsuit is sold out BUT, I've included a few REALLY similar options below.
I didn't get any close shots of my shoes (SORRY!!!) but, you can see them up close here. It's actually kind of crazy that my favorite sneakers are the Cortez and I've never actually done a Sneaker Diary in them, until now. These babies are actually one of my favorites. I received them last year as Nike was rolling out their Summer of Cortez and the BeautifulxPowerful Collection. I was lucky enough to be seeded this pair and they continue to be a staple in my rotation.
These particular sneaks are sold out, but I've linked a few below that will go perfect with the jumpsuit. Have an excellent holiday weekend, ya'll! You may or may not see my slides at a pool - or 2! :)
