Sneaker Diary: Coffee Run Cozy In The Air Max 95 OG
Lately, Dallas has been more confused than usual when it comes to weather. Typically around this time of year, I can bank on light sweaters and fall-friendly jackets to help combat the cold but, this year? Some days it's hitting 60 degrees and others we're barely above 32 and I have to pull out a little something extra.
So, when I headed out for a coffee run with one of our favorite Dallas photogs last Saturday, I arrived hella prepared. Like, a whole fur and wool combo. Luckily, since I'm from a state that specializes in cold, I knew exactly what would keep me warm: a wool sweater, a long wool coat, and a faux fur stole that was probably a little bit extra but, hey, I've been looking for an excuse to wear it. LOL.
This plaid wool jacket is one you might recognize from this Sneaker Diary from last year. Since I live in Texas and I only have to wear winter gear for 2-3 months out of the year, I tend to recycle some of the stuff I already had when I lived in Minnesota. I love it because most of my outerwear from home is REALLY well made so it tends to last. Case in point? The sweater I'm wearing is from my freshman year in COLLEGE. I'm not going to go into how long ago that was but, let's just say, it's older than most of my shoes.
Both my jacket (which I originally got when on major sale from NastyGal) and my sweater have since been sold out but, I've linked similar options here and here.
I'm a big fan of pops of color and this NARS Velvet lippy in "Unspeakable Garnet" was a favorite of mine all 2018 so, when I saw this faux fur stole on sale (for $12, BTW!!) I instantly knew it would be an eye-catching addition to my burgandy lip. My faux fur scarf is all sold out online (you can click here to see if it's available at a target in your area though) but, I've linked another option that'll do you right as well. Check it out here.
These OG Air Max 95's are a pair that I had been EAGER for since I was a kid. I stumbled upon this GS goodie about two years ago at a local boutique here in Dallas and ended up copping them for less than $100. Basically, I'm never letting these go. They're one of the more comfortable options in my rotation and I thought the neon would go well against the lip, scarf, and plaid in my jacket.
The Air Max 95 was the first shoe to include visible Nike Air cushioning in the forefoot. The variety of textures makes this one I wear in a throughout multiple seasons and is definitely a shoe that belongs in every collection. I've linked a few options below in case you're looking to grab a pair of your own.

In all honesty, I'm here for the cold weather vibes and I'm hoping that we see more 30 degree days before summer hits Texas with 100+ degree weather. Also, I'd like to wear this stole as much as humanly possible. LOL. If you're looking to pickup a few of the options you see here, I've put together a few things to shop below! Stay warm!
