E-Finds: Yeezy Season For Your Infant With Picasso Babe
I originally peeped this brand back in the spring whilst on an e-peruse session that I remember to be both productive and exhausting. Unfortunately, Picasso Babe got lost in the shuffle of my email reminders and never saw it's very on post.
Well, that ends today. Picasso Babe (yes, named after the Jay-Z song "Picasso Baby") is an Etsy retailer specializing in custom knit booties for your tiny human. The company offers a splendid catch, though: knitted booties made in the style of some of our favorite (and most overhyped) sneaker silhouettes. I don't about you, but I've tried buying shoes for my friend's newborn bambinos and it's a no go unless the kid is born wearing at least a 2 or 3.
The Spain-based Etsy shop had a solution for our sneaker obsessed culture (what a world the kids are born into, right?) and released a collection of hyped releases like the adidas Yeezy 750 Boost, Nike Air Yeezy II, and the Nike Air MAG.
After teaming with a big baller of internet pit-stops (hello, Highsnobiety) the folks at Picasso shifted their focus to sneaker classics including the Air Jordan 1, adidas Originals Superstar, Nike Air Force 1, Vans Sk8-Hi, Reebok Instapump Fury, PUMA Clyde and Converse Chuck Taylor All Star.
Now the Spanish baby bootie supplier has returned with a fresh new version to add to its collection for the smallest of sneakerheads: the Yeezy Boost 350. The sneaker’s seamless upper and rubber sole are exchanged for a handmade crochet knit, fitting babies up to the age of 1 year.
I can think of a few new moms who would absolutely love these mini replicas! However, there's a catch. While these mini mocs are nearly as expensive as the real deal, they don't come baby cheap, either. If you're down to spend anywhere from $75 USD to $364 USD for the entire "West Pack", head over to the brand’s online store to cop a pair.
