Diadora teams up with German retailer The Good Will Out to bring us a fire collab overseas. Sneakers can be a representation of a particular time period, and it is always a plus when they take you on a real history lesson through time. Diadora is droppin’ the “Rise and Fall of The Roman Empire” pack inspired by historical figures Caligula and Nerone.

My personal favorite of the pack is the V7000 Caligula which has an off white upper symbolic of a toga fabric. The Diadora Quarter stripe is detailed with a golden cracked patent leather. The heel is even made with pony hair inspired by Caligula’s horse and features a Caligula coin insignia. The sneaker sits on a white midsole and has hot pink accents on heel, tongue, and outsole.

The S8000 Nerone is a bold iteration with different shades of red inspired by the story that Nerone orchestrated setting the city of Rome on fire. The top of the heel is made with a deep red cracked patent leather to symbolize glowing embers. To bring all the red hues together, the Nerone has bright pink accents on the Diadora stripe, heel, and outsole. Speckled pink is included on the midsole, which gives a great contrast.

Both pairs are available tomorrow, June 17th, and will run about $212 USD (excluding overseas shipping). Pre-order now or shop the collection tomorrow via The Good Will Out.
