The OG Nike Cortez “Oregon” Returns

If you know us, you know that the Cortez is a CNK favorite, so this one is kind of a no-brainer for us.

Nike’s subtle resurgence of the Cortez will culminate with the re-release of the iconic “Forrest Gump” colorway on May 8th. This will be the first time we’ve seen it since 2018 — but, that isn’t all. The Swoosh also looks to be reviving it’s 70’s track glory (and the spirit of Steve Prefontaine) with a specific Cortez nod to the great state of Oregon.

This drool-worthy Cortez (in green and yellow ochre) appears in the classic “Oregon” colorway and resembles an uncanny nod to the OG Prefontaine Montreal Racer. We’re pretty sure we’ll also see Nike’s enduring nod to this colorway and it’s running history… at least we hope.

Decked in suede and nylon uppers, the “Oregon” Cortez gives us additional vintage vibes with a throwback italic Nike logo on the tongue, insole, and heel-tabs.

Nike will release the “Oregon” Cortez this Summer (we’re guessing sometime in late May or early June) and it will retail for $90 USD.
