Jordan Brand Gives Us A Sneak Peek of the Fall 2018 Lineup
Anyone that knows me, can tell you that I have a love for Michael Jordan sneakers. Not only do they hold memories of childhood, they also carry stories of triumphs and losses surrounding many of my sneaker adventures. It's not easy trying to cop your favorite kicks, OK?! I have been blessed to pass down this love to my own kids so when I get ahold of Jordan Brand news, my ears are open. Recently, the Jumpman released a look at their Fall 2018 lineup which includes silhouettes that we can get our hands on very soon. Excited, much?
One of the cool things about this go-round is that Jordan is putting a concentration on the 3 Cs - the culture, the court, and the community. I may be biased, but these are definitive ways to carry the Air Jordan lineage into more years of success. Hands up if you agree. According to Nike News - Jordan Brand is strategically releasing kicks that have a focus all leading back to those 3 Cs. Reimagining classics and paying homage to retros will always be a thing for me. Keep scrolling shawty - and let's dive into it.
THE ORIGINATOR.
The Air Jordan 1 started it all. The legacy and the grind on the courts. Jordan Brand continues to reimagine the classic AJ1 and will be focusing on creating more gender neutral iterations for the seasons. Being defiant on the court isn't only a boys club.
WE CALL HIM BRODIE.
NBA Superstar Russell Westbrook is tied to the mantra "WHY NOT?" and we see this time and time again with his on court performance and off court style. New RB kicks are forthcoming along with an apparel capsule that screams bold.
SCHOOL'S NOT OUT...
These sneakers pay homage to the game's finest and where they went to school. Highlighting the alma maters of Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Paul.
HE GOT GAME.
If you grew up in the 90s, you probably knew who Jesus Shuttlesworth was (hint: HE GOT GAME). This cultural staple sneaker of the 90s made a debut on the movie screen locking in it's nickname.
INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS.
The sneakers below pay tribute to Michael Jordan's well traveled legacy with three of MJ's most notable stops while touring in the off season.
THE CHI-TOWN DON DADA.
The Legacy 312 is a collaboration with Chicago native Don C - who has had a very successful track record when it comes to designing for the Jumpman. Combining details from past silhouettes, this pair also pays homage to home.
THE QUAI IS BACK...
Inspired by Quai 54 which is a well respected streetball tournament known worldwide, this pair pulls inspo from Parisian fashion with added hints of street. We can't help but enjoy the pops of color on this all black AJIII.
