Cop or Can: adidas Originals & Raf Simons Drop Stan Smith Pastels For SS16
Almost everyday I'm reminded that the Stan Smith, as over released as it has becoming, isn't going anywhere anytime soon. So, as long as there are people willing to shell over half of their rent for a pair of those upper echelon Stan Smith's (we're looking at you Raf Simons) there they will be, gorgeous as ever. So, it wasn't too surprising when we stumbled across the latest from the Belgian virtuoso and the three stripes.
Available in three matte pastel colorways (night marine, ash pink and blush yellow) the design doesn't differ from previous collections. A perforated “R” on the side panel and Raf Simons’ name embossed on the heel is pretty much the only thing separating this Stan Smith from a pair you can buy for $75. Just so you know you're getting your money’s worth.
The adidas Originals x Raf Simons Stan Smith is available now for $400. So, cop or can? For me (and my wallet) this would be a can until I see that price slide a bit on a Polyvore search. What about you?
