A.L.C.'s Latest Collection Shows Us How To Wear Sneakers With Everything
On a recent call with Vogue (hello, shine shine) A.L.C. designer Andrea Lieberman made the following statement: “It’s 100 percent about making real clothes.”
While A.L.C. doesn't quite need this simple explanation seeing that the clothing has spoken for itself, Lieberman's Pre-Fall collection puts the emphasis on versatile pieces that offer more and, lucky for us, deliver about 15 different ways to rock our sneakers. The designer called out ’90s hip-hop as an inspiration. With 90's era Nike Cortez's leading the lookbook roster, the sporty music-scene influence isn't that hard to imagine with A.L.C. adding an additional slice of sex appeal to make each silhouette one that appeals even to the lady who'd rather slip on heels instead of a lace up option.
All-in-all, Lieberman and A.L.C. give us a pretty good idea as to what we can expect from their sneaker style friendly pre-fall offering. We definitely see why CNK fave Jennifer Lawrence is a fan.
