Basquiat Inspires Alice + Olivia's Resort 2017 Collection
Brooklyn artist Jean-Michel Basquait was just 27 when he passed away, but his legacy and the work he left behind continue to receive much-deserved acclaim today. Now, his work can go from the wall to your closet thanks to Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia.
In partnership with the Basquiat Estate, Alice + Olivia has created a collection that promotes the Council of Fashion Designers of America's mission to support young talent. The capsule mixes the contemporary brand's feminine aesthetic with recognizable elements from Basquiat's art - crown and colorful graffiti included.
A wide range of pieces spanning apparel and accessories will be offered in the collection which is set for release in-store and online in November. If you're looking to wear some beauty and support new artists (50 percent of the proceeds benefit the CFDA) this will definitely go well with your Chucks and you Superstars.
