Filling Pieces Welcomes The Second Drop From SS17 Collection

Late last year, Amsterdam-based brand Filling Pieces got a jumpstart on the seasonal unveils with a lush lookbook full of their Spring/Summer 2017 offerings. Now, the stand out shoemaker is back with more as Part II hit our inbox this week.

The brand enthusiasticly welcomes the second drop from their SS 2017 collection and keeps with the ongoing theme: ‘LET US CREATE.’ In yet another exotic location (this time in Madagascar), FP picks up right where it left off by highlighting it's own evolution.

‘LET US CREATE’ refers to the introduction of custom-made sole units, all designed from scratch by the FP team. For the first time since Guillaume Philibert founded Filling Pieces, FP are now in the position to step away from the industry standard of working with generic rubber cup-soles, and solely use our own soles unit.

The SS17 collection boasts 600 new styles containing 14 new silhouettes and 5 new custom Filling Pieces sole innovations. Key styles within the second drop include the Apache Runner, Roots Runner Knit, Low Top Neo Laced, Steel Runner Zip and Low Top Perforated Down. One thing I love about FP: many of their silhouettes come in both male and female sizing. Ladies aren't left out when it comes to this new new.

Filling Pieces opted to capture this collection in Madagascar, an island known for 90% of its wildlife being found nowhere else on earth. For a brand like Filling Pieces which draws so much inspiration from nature and cultures, it was the ideal backdrop for their most creative and diverse collection to date.

Take a look at some shots from the lookbook above and, if you're feeling the collection (priced from $230 USD to $280 USD) shop some of the sneaks below.
